Tipoff Times, set television coverage of Auburn’s SEC . basketball games

The Southeast Conference in Auburn, Alabama, has announced the television schedule for the 2022-23 men’s basketball season. Auburn, the defending league title, will begin playing at home on Wednesday, December 28 against the Florida Gators.

Auburn’s game against the Gators, a team coached by former Auburn assistant coach Todd Golden who was in his first season in Florida, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CST with coverage on ESPN2.

Fitness Trainer Bruce PearlHis team will play their first road league game on January 4th in Georgia. Tipoff is set at 5:30 PM CST with SEC network coverage.

The following Saturday, January 7th, one of the best games of the season will likely be played at Neville Arena as you visit Arkansas at 7:30 p.m. This game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.

On January 10th, the Tigers will travel to Ole Miss at 8pm. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

On the 14th, the Tigers will play at the Neville Arena against Mississippi State with a date set at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.

On January 18, Auburn will be in Baton Rouge to face LSU. TV coverage will begin at 6 p.m. on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

On January 21st, Auburn will be in South Carolina for Saturday’s competition Starting at 2:30 PM with SECNetwork coverage.

On January 25, Texas A&M Aggies will play in Auburn starting at 8 p.m. on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

In February, the Tigers will play a rematch against Georgia in the first at Neville Arena with a schedule set at 6 p.m. that will cover the SEC network.

Other home games that month were scheduled for Day 11 against Alabama (1 p.m. ESPN or ESPN2), the 14th game against Missouri (6 p.m. ESPN2 or ESPNU) and 22 against Ole Miss (8 p.m. SEC Network).

Road games for February are scheduled for 4th in Tennessee (1 p.m. ESPN or ESPN2), 7th at Texas A&M (6 p.m. ESPN or ESPN2), 18th at Vanderbilt (7:30 p.m. SEC Network) and 25th vs. Kentucky Wildcats at 3 p.m. on CBS.

Team Pearl kicks off their March schedule first in Alabama followed by a home game three days later against Tennessee before heading to Nashville for the SEC Championship scheduled for March 8-12. The game in Tuscaloosa is set for 6pm on either ESPN2 or ESNPU. Tipoff’s regular season finale against the Vols will be at either 11am, 1pm or 3pm at the Neville Arena with coverage on either ESPN or ESPN2.

Auburn won the regular season title in 2021-22 with a 15-3 score and finished his schedule 28-6.

Pearl said he really likes the depth in his 2022-23 roster, something that showed up during the three Tigers’ exhibition games in August while playing in Israel.

“I imagine we’ll mix them up again,” Pearl said of the play cycles. “I just don’t think there’s going to be much of a break up – I don’t really do that. I think we have two really good centers, two really good big goalkeepers, two really good wingers, two really good scoring guards, two really good point guards. I see we’re We play 10.”

The Tigers will open the season with a home competition on November 7 against George Mason. Five days ago, Auburn will be playing an exhibition game for UAH at the Neville Arena.

Pearl will play their home games on November 11th against South Florida and on November 15th against Winthrop. Also in November, the Tigers will be at home on the 18th to play Texas Southern.

The Tigers will head to Mexico for matches on the 22nd and 23rd of the Cancun Challenge. They will play Bradley in the opening match and face either Northwestern or Liberty the next day.

The Tigers will return to Neville Arena to play for St. Louis on the 27th.

The December schedule begins with a second-day home game against Colgate followed by a trip to Atlanta to play Memphis in the Hopsgiving holiday event at the State Farm Arena where they defeated the Nebraska Tigers last year.

Auburn will be home on the 14th to take on Georgia State.

The Tigers close their pre-Christmas schedule with a game at Southern Cal on the 18th and three days later they will face the Washington Huskies in Seattle.

Auburn’s last game without conferences will be in Morgantown as they face West Virginia on a par with the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on January 28.
